چکیده

T h i s p a p e r p r e s e n t s a n e w t e x t u r e a n a l y s i s m e t h o d i n c o r p o r a t i n g w i t h t h e p r o p e r t i e s o f b o t h t h e g ray l eve l c o o c c u r r e n c e m a t r i x ( G L C M ) a n d t e x t u r e s p e c t r u m (TS) m e t h o d s . T h e c o o c c u r r e n c e f ea tu res e x t r a c t e d f r o m t h e c r o s s d i a g o n a l t e x t u r e m a t r i x p r o v i d e c o m p l e t e t e x t u r e i n f o r m a t i o n a b o u t a n i m a g e . T h e p e r f o r m a n c e o f t h e s e f ea tu res i n d i s c r i m i n a t i n g t h e t e x t u r e a s p e c t s o f p i c t o r i a l i m a g e s h a s b e e n e v a l u a t e d . T h e t e x t u r a l f ea tu r e s f rom t h e G L C M a n d T S h a v e b e e n u s e d for c o m p a r i s o n i n d i s c r i m i n a t i n g s o m e o f B r o d a t z ' s n a t u r a l t e x t u r e i m a g e s .
